2009-2010 Pattern Corrections (01/05/10):
In-Hand Trail: The box for small horses/minis changed from 4' to 6'
Trail: Clarified items #1 (jog four poles) and #2 (lope five poles)
Hunt Seat: Removed the duplicate instruction #6 from the pattern
Working Rancher: Removed ground pole in front of hay bale
Driving: Added note to setup concerning room at top of course
2009-2010 Pattern Clarifications (updated 03/11/2010):
Working Rancher: Athlete may have rope tucked under arm while riding
Driving: Item #2, stop with horse within the cones, not the cart
Trail: Cones are set at 6' from end of pole to inside of cone base
IHOR: Districts should have personnel on course to reset between competitors, especially the back-through box
Huntseat Equitation: On item #6, we are assuming that where it says to pick up irons
before the canter, they mean they are to pick up the irons while posting
the trot? So once they finish posting the figure 8 (it doesn't say sitting trot) they are to
continue posting, pick up the irons and then canter? There is no stop to pick up the irons. Athletes will trot until they have the irons. The
athletes are to continue to post and pick up the irons while posting.
Showmanship, In Hand Trail and IHOR: The lead may be held in a loop or folded - it is the handler's decision.
